PSG and Lyon emerge as suitors for Anthony Martial and other transfer rumours

Anthony Martial’s agent expressed the Frenchman’s desire to leave Manchester United on Friday with Ligue 1 duo Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon emerging as interested clubs.

A move for the 26-year-old would spell an end to a six-year career in the Premier League but comes after he fell down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

It’s understood that he is unhappy with his playing time and believes, despite the appointment of Ralf Rangnick, his game time will not improve.

That prompted his agent, Philippe Lamboley, to speak to Sky Sports about his client’s future.

“Anthony wishes to leave the club in January,” he said.

“He just needs to play.

“He doesn’t want to stay in January and I will speak to the club soon.”

Barcelona and Juventus are also said to be interested but RMC Sport report that Peter Bosz’s side are looking to bring Martial in on loan in January whilst the Ligue 1 league leaders, PSG, are looking at the French forward as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe.

He is currently sidelined with a knee injury but with two years remaining on his deal at Old Trafford, United would likely want a considerable sum for his services.

Meanwhile, United have reportedly seen a €60m bid for Federico Valverde rejected.

El Nacional report that the Reds were looking to acquire the Spaniard’s services but have fallen short of Real Madrid valuation as Carlo Ancelotti’s side demand around €80m.

Despite his first-team showings, he still falls behind seasoned professionals Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Casemiro for a place in Madrid’s midfield.

With Paul Pogba’s future at the club edging towards a conclusion, Los Blancos are said to be undecided on his future although they have been one of the clubs linked with the Frenchman in the past.
