Real Madrid to enter race for Manchester United ‘target’ and more transfer rumours

Real Madrid are set to enter the race for Manchester United ‘target’ Kingsley Coman – according to reports.

Having progressed through the ranks at PSG, the jet-heeled Bayern Munich winger has spent the last four seasons at the Allianz Arena – scoring 43 goals and providing 51 assists in 211 games for the Bundesliga giants.

Coman did sign for Bayern in 2015, but spent two years on loan at Juventus before making his mark in Germany.

An international teammate of United players Raphael Varane, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial, rumours linking the 25-year-old with a move to Old Trafford have surfaced before.

However, with Jadon Sancho finally completing his return to the Premier League during the latest summer transfer window, United remain well-stocked in attacking quarters; with Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford and five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo there for company.

As per a report from Defensa Central via The Hard Tackle, United continue to be linked with Coman – but Real have now emerged as genuine suitors for him.

Indeed, it’s thought that they have already submitted a €35million bid to land the Bayern man.

In a previous report published by The Sun – in June – Coman was deemed to be pushing for a switch to Old Trafford via his father and agent.

Elsewhere, reported United target Franck Kessie has been ‘affected’ by speculation over his future.

Now into the final months of his contract, the AC Milan star has been earmarked as a potential alternative target to Declan Rice – should he opt to remain at West Ham or move elsewhere.

Manchester Evening News understands Rice is still a priority transfer for key figures in the United boardroom.

That comes after they missed out on a top-level defensive midfielder during the latest summer window.

West Ham are expected to dig their heels in over a valuation for the England international, though, which could see United, in turn, look to the likes of Kessie – especially given that he would be available on a free.

According to reports at, his form suffered as a result of such talks, though, with fans continuing to assess how he’s performing for the Italian giants.
