Strictly Come Dancing’s Dan Walker flooded with comments over group selfie as fans spot something ‘cute’

Dan Walker made the most of his Strictly Come Dancing return on Saturday night.

The class of 2021 were reunited for the BBC One competition’s grand final.

And after weeks of being apart, they were finally allowed close to each other as they performed a big group number.

Dan, Tom Fletcher, Ugo Monye, Greg Wise, Katie McGlynn, Nina Wadia, Judi Love, Rhys Stephenson, Adam Peaty, and Sara Davies all got to put their dancing shoes on for a trip down Strictly memory lane.

The group, which saw Tilly Ramsay and Robert Webb missing and AJ Odudu sat out with an injury, were also able to spend the evening cheering on finalists Rose Ayling-Ellis and John Whaite.

It also featured a special VT of the celebrities reflecting on their Strictly experience.

Taking to Instagram after the final, Dan posted a selfie with many of his fellow stars all huddled together in the ballroom at Elstree Studios.

“Team #Strictly,” he simply captioned the post to his thousands of followers.

And he was quickly flooded with comments over the snap which saw everyone absolutely beaming.

@terrywylis commented: “Absolutely a joy watching you this year – and the footwork in that Class of 2021 dance was EPIC! Keep dancing, Dan the Man–you are awesome.”

It was the Strictly Come Dancing final over the weekend

“The best group ever. I’ll miss Strictly a lot now. Thanks to all for everything you created,” @ martinsta16 said.

@lilacden wrote: “Gorgeous photo of you all! Brilliant show.”

“Fantastic group dance…such a great class of 2021,” @mc2helen shared.

But one eagle-eyed fan spotted something.

“Omg Sara hugging Kai in the background is too cute,” @ strictly_fan21 pointed out.

Dan’s photos didn’t stop there, however, as he also captured the moment winner Rose was congratulated by her mum who was supporting her in the audience.

It showed the pair sharing a hug while the EastEnders actress gripped hold of the Glitterball trophy.

Of all the photos from last night… this might be my favourite,” BBC Breakfast host Dan said.

“Rose’s mum knows how hard she has worked, how many barriers she has had to run through, how many times she has been told ‘no’ and how much all this means.”

He added: “This is why I voted for Rose & Gio from week 1 #Strictly.”

Rose quickly replied: “Oh this set me off again! You worded it perfectly. Thank you Dan.”

And his followers were quickly ‘broken’ by the post after an emotional end to the series.
